Re: [Newsip] Newsip, the reprise
Hi

further to your query (below), no, I ditched newsip pretty much straight

Stanisław Pitucha from gradwell showed an interest, so I told him what I
was doing to make the problem occur (basically, using newsip as my
server instead of lon-pbx-7)
Yes, but we couldn't replicate it in the office, so he mailed asking a
bit more about your NAT setup.
Without being rude, Peter, every time I think, "great, I'll migrate all
my users to newsip" there's a glitch somewhere, and I migrate 'em all
straight back before they notice and start moaning at me.
I'm happy to test out new technology, and will gladly try out any
suggested improvements but, to be honest, newsip is no better (worse?)
than the current system
I think that anyone in the situation of having live, sensitive users,
with tricky firmware issues should be careful about moving. I am sure
however as we increase the user count things will come out in the wash
and we'll be able to get everyone to the same level of service, plus a
few extra features.
cheers
