I am beginning once more to do some newsip testing
and am getting some anomalies:
Snom 320 and Snom 300 (both with 7.1.30) are set up
with the Function Keys as directed by Peter. Snom 320 has a few
identities. Snom 300 has only one. 300 is using private/DHCP IP with
NAT. 320 is using public/static IP.
1. If Snom 320 is in use with any of its
extensions other than the programmed one, the busy lamp does not show on the
300.
2. In line with what Peter said, it would
appear that under "Function Keys", you must select one of the identities, and
cannot leave it on the default "Active". Is there a way to ensure that no
matter which identity is selected, it will show the busy lamp on the
300?
3. Any phone calls last 3 digits of the
300: No ringing heard in the caller's handset, but 300 rings
OK.
3a. If Snom 300 answers, both parties can
hear each other, and busy lamps show according to setup.
3b. If 300 does not answer, after the set
voicemail delay 320 gets "Declined", and the engaged tone. 300 keeps
ringing until X is pressed. This happens simply by using newsip, whether
or not the Presence Lamp settings are being used.
3c. If Snom 320 cancels the call, the 300
keeps ringing until X is pressed. This happens simply by using newsip,
whether or not the Presence Lamp settings are being used.
4. Any phone calls last 3 digits of the
320. Ringing heard OK both ends.
5. If any VoIP phone calls the 7-digit
extension of either phone, it is engaged/"Service Unavailable", depending on the
type of phone making the call.
Unless someone can offer reassurance, I think that
I need to revert back to lon-pbx-x until more testing has been done. I
would be fascinated to know what the experience is of the 450+ people that are
now using newsip, based on the findings above?
Kind regards, Christoph Kuhle
